If things shake out perfectly for The Saints today, we could see a scenario where a bunch of the bubble teams sit at 5-7.

Cardinals Lose to Vikes
bucs lose to Panthers
Rams lose to Saints
49ers lose to Bills
Dallas - exists

Now obviously, making wildcard is probably unlikely, but you never know. Washington could start to dip, and if we are stuck in a 5-7 log jam Saints could move up with a favourable matchup against giants next week as well, all the while some of these other teams will be taking losses from each other trying to still win division.

Anyways thought it was an odd scenario that could see that many teams with the same record after this week, potentially.

The logjams are upon us, and playoff scenarios should be legion. Here’s hoping the Saints are involved.

Personally I’m seeing the chances of getting a wildcard spot as 0.

Our only hope in my opinion is that Atlanta fumbles the division away and the Saints keep winning.

You run the table, you make the playoffs…..it’s that simple. It probably won’t happen though.

If we can beat The Rams the rest of the schedule is not too bad. There's a shot to get in especially how this season is unfolding.

It’s actually not that simple. There’s a very real scenario where the Saints run the table to 10-7 and miss the playoffs.

The only way 10-7 gets us to the playoffs is if the Falcons go 9-8.

Wild card is more complicated but right now the only realistic spot is 7th seed currently owned by the Commanders. They are at 7 wins to our 4, with 6 games to play out.

I have a nagging feeling that the Saints will win just enough to narrowly lose the division to the Falcons, while ensuring a non top 5 draft pick. Dennis Allen’s patented end of game defense against the Falcons, plus Koo making a 58 yard game winner will loom large, in yet another non playoff season.

Hope I am wrong.

How Dallas has a better record than us is amazing, they beyond suck.

Not sure I wanna make the playoffs.... but the first two games of the season makes you dream a little I guess...
