The New Orleans Saints are entering the final stretch of the 2024 season and will be doing so without their starting quarterback.
Derek Carr looks to be done for at least the regular season, though he is not yet on the injured reserve. That means the final four games will likely be played with either Spencer Rattler or Jake Haener under center.
It is unfortunate timing to lose their starter, as the NFC South is still technically within reach. Another loss would all but eliminate the Saints from playoff contention, though, especially if the Tampa Bay Buccaneers keep winning. That may be the best case scenario for a New Orleans team that is not close to competing right now.
