I know pretty much every team does a pregame chant, but I really wonder and have doubts on if they serve the purpose of getting a team pumped up to play. I look at somebody like Ray Lewis acting like a maniac every week before the game and I'm like, for what? I'm sure if you are new in the league, it may be cool for a game or 2, but having somebody barking at you like that for 16 games, c'mon man!

I think watching him dance is worse than hearing his mouth run :hihi: It could be a lot worse, though ...

Its truly only cool if Drew Brees is leading the chant. Just seeing it on tv, makes me want to tackle my girlfriend sitting next to me.

yeah, this one is wack.

i liked the who are we? saints, who are we? saints. chant, and i liked the 2009 chant. that was awesome. this years and last years have been "meh"
I like this year's chant.....reminds me of cadence we would call in the Army.

to the OP.........

have you ever played Football before?

Pre-game chants do get the players pumped up. Just being in the atmosphere and just knowing its gametime is going to have your heart racing, and the pre-game chant is like injecting Adrenaline directly to your heart

We are talking about professionals, not some high school kids. These guys been playing ball all their lives......I think it may hype up some guys, but it seems like some stuff, like Ray Lewis says, is just overkill.

What are you talking about ray lewis his intensity level is off the charts I would love to have that type of player on our defense who could show that type of passion that drives everyone around him to play above and beyond themselves drew showed that in 09 pregame and the team feeds off of it for me for someone like that I would run through a wall for

...said the man with Drew leading the pregame chant as his avatar.

I think Ray Lewis is way over the top sometimes........Kevin Winslow caught a lot of flack for what he said after a game when in college (which I thought was ok), but Ray Lewis essentially says the same thing and is considered passionate.
