He has been catching a lot of flack lately, mainly here by SR posters. I never understood why. Our guard play is terrible and they can't open holes. Today, when they did open a few holes, Ingram exploded. Everyone has been clamoring for more Khiry Robinson, and I like Khiry, but it was obvious who the better back was today. I'm proud of the performance by Ingram today. If we drastically improve both of our guards next season, and Ingram gets 60-70% of the carries, I could easily see him being a 1500 yard RB next season. Hate all you want, but when he's not getting stopped by defenders behind or at the LOS, he's a damn good RB. A complete RB. I still believe he can be a feature back. It's hard to judge though, with the abysmal guard play we've had the last few years. Fix that and I think Ingram lives up to the expectations we had when we drafted him.

Anyways, great day running the ball and great game for the defense with big stops and takeaways. Who Dat!

Ok, I will give Ingram his props today, but I still believe it was just the luck of the draw. By that I mean, that it was just coincidence that good holes were opened when Ingram was in and he was able to take advantage of them.

Great performance by Ingram. Unfortunately, he will continue to get blamed when the o-line has another bad game. Ingram is the better all-around back than Khiry and always has been. I love Khiry but the "Khiry needs more carries than Ingram" BS has to quit. I'm a huge LSU fan, in fact, I'm an alum but I have to assume that SOME of the hatred towards Ingram is because he went to Bama.

Ingram have games where can just take over. Khiry really never has that game. Our that speed or vision. He'll chew up 6 to 7 yards a pop, but in a tough game. He never seems to really amount to anything. Ingram has shown up for a lot of big games.

I think Ingram runs best when he gets mad. He had to be mad that Robinson and Spiller were getting more touches than him early in the game.

even a blind squirrel finds an acorn now and then.....he's gonna have to do this a couple more times before I'm a believer. I've seen far too many 2 yard gains to give him props for 1 good game here and there.

I disagree because he made a lot of tacklers missed, though I think Khiry is the better runner, ingram has elite vision

You need to see him have a few more games like this before you're a believer? He had multiple games last year, where he was the feature back and put up over 100 yards rushing. He has proven he can do it. I think if you drastically improve BOTH guard spots next year, Ingram will make 100+ yards rushing the norm. Our guard play is awful. Fix that, and watch Ingram dominate the running game. That's my opinion, anyways.
