It's been a slow news day Saints wise. However, I see that Tampa is signing Kyle Rudolph.

Ugh.... Rich keeps getting richer.

To be fair to the man (and perhaps this is why both teams moved on from him) his final year in Minny he was prepping Irv Smith to take over as TE1, and in NY he was sharing catches with Evan Engram in a really bad offense.

I wouldn’t say that he is still a Pro Bowler, but he is more than capable handling the TE1 position.

Its a nothing signing. At this point he doesnt make your team better. Ill take him playing any day over Gronk and i believe Howard is no longer there. I think Tampa is going to take a big step back this year.

I agree with you. But, may still not get what they want out of him. Brady is a strange guy, who works best with guys he knows already or bonds with quickly. We will have to see.

I got facepalm'd into oblivion for it, but I think Tampa either has a .500 season or a straight up losing season. Brady being the only reason they struggle to 8ish wins.

Their whole offseason's just sort of screamed bad mojo from the beginning. Brady retiring, unretiring, more or less blocked from going to Miami, Arians 'stepping down' (translation: Brady fired him.), Godwin's going to be out for the first quarter of the season (and then be slow to get back into the groove of things, most likely,), Gronk seems to be done (finally), Mike Evans is pedestrian without Godwin around, his #2 is Russell Gage or Scotty Miller(?), OJ Howard (at the very least) was better than Brate, they lost two key offensive linemen, Lenny showing up overweight, secondary still fairly meh, etc. While their defense is probably going to be great/elite for most of the season, I imagine it's probably going to look similar to the Saints last season. Elite defense, subpar offensive showings.
