News QB Dillion Gabriel breaks record for ball speed at Senior Bowl (4 Viewers)

I'm not crazy about another undersized QB but there's no doubt that Gabriel has a whip.

I’m not either but if they think he could be a top 10 QB then grab him.

With that said, it’s amusing to me because both PFF and ProFootballNetwork had him as average to above average arm strength. One of their reports said he doesn’t have the arm strength for deep throws in the NFL.

and DraftBuzz said he needed to be a west coast offense because of his arm strength.

All that said, Dart looks better to me.

That's a wildly impressive yet somewhat useless talent. It reminds me of the bass singer who shows how he can sing lower than can be heard by human ears. Really cool, yet not actually useable in any way.

I mean, seriously, what receiver could catch a ball hummed at him at 75 mph? It would take his hand off. Now, obviously, it tells you he deliver a fast ball, but I hope he never delivers one that fast. Yikes.

Much like a QB being a great runner a qb witt a very strong arm is over rated.

Give me an accurate, good pass touch qb who is intelligent and poised in pressure. Only uses his legs to either buy more time on a pass or if it's the only option

Heading into the 2024 draft, BR reported Rattler could throw 100 mph. And he’s taller than Gabriel. Yeah, I know it’s BR and the velocity has to be exaggerated. But the dude does throw fast and hard. Just saying.

Depends when the measure it. It probably starts at 75 but will slow down to 50. Receivers catch his bullet passes

I'd use a 3rd on him in a heartbeat; Gabriel is illusive in the pocket, makes wise decisions, and the kid has wheels when there is a open lane and everyone is covered.
It would be a good addition for a team looking for a QB with nerve and intelligence, so what if he's not 6'4"; a competitive heart and talent is what really counts: just
immagine a DB9 2.0.
