Have we ever traded a good player to a conference foe? Seems like the Loomis Payton era just does not do it. Reggie and Ivory being the examples. I always admired that about this regime. Lord knows as Saints fans we have seen enough of our ex-players coming back to break our hearts. I know we traded for Shockey, but I don't remember giving up a named player. Just draft picks.

We usually just release our players. That way they can sign with a division rival and come back to haunt us without us getting anything in return.
