Referee for our next game (1 Viewer)

I’ll pull the numbers when I get home if no one already has.

Alright, Boger has been in the white hat for 15 games during the Payton Era and the Saints have a 9-6 overall record in that span with splits of 2-4 in the Superdome and 7-2 on the road.

Here’s the list of games he’s done of ours:
  • 2006 Week 1 @ Browns - 19-14 W
  • 2006 Week 8 vs. Ravens - 22-35 L
  • 2007 Week 12 @ Panthers - 31-6 W
  • 2008 Week 13 @ Buccaneers - 20-23 L
  • 2008 Week 17 vs. Panthers - 31-33 L
  • 2009 Week 16 vs. Buccaneers - 17-20 L
  • 2010 Week 12 @ Cowboys - 30-27 W
  • 2011 Week 6 @ Buccaneers - 20-26 L
  • 2012 Week 7 @ Buccaneers - 35-28 W
  • 2013 Week 10 vs. Cowboys - 49-17 W
  • 2015 Week 9 vs. Titans - 28-34 L
  • 2016 Week 9 @ 49ers - 41-23 W
  • 2016 Week 16 vs. Buccaneers - 31-24 W
  • 2017 Week 7 @ Packers - 26-17 W
  • 2018 Week 14 @ Buccaneers - 28-14 W
His 2019 crew has 3 officials that differ from his 2018 crew, but majority are the same when including him.

In those 15 games, we’ve been flagged significantly more than our opponents only once (back in 2008) while we’ve been on the beneficial end of having our opponent flagged significantly more than us in 4 of those games. However, I wouldn’t be surprised to be flagged a good bit on Sunday due to how sloppy our play has been regarding penalties the first couple of weeks. Especially along the offensive line, which Boger’s crew last year were very flag heavy on against both teams in our Week 14 game in Tampa Bay, which came a week after the League office reported wanting an emphasis placed on offensive holding.

Eight of those 15 games have been NFC South division games - six against the Bucs and two against the Panthers. None against the Falcons which makes sense.

Boger's son Tre had a nice career as a safety at Tulane and has stayed in NOLA. Tre was (and may still be) a good high school ref. I've never noticed an anti-Saints bias with Boger.

Conyers, Georgia. That's where the first 5 episodes of the Dukes of Hazzard was filmed back in the day. Boger must be a good ol boy. I hope.
