Time to rebuild and take Sanders or Ward to compete with Carr next season.

It does somewhat matter who the wins come against but what matters more is how they play in those games and this game was a terrible display of football. I'm not writing Rizzi off yet, but he needs to get them playing much better quickly. My line with Rizzi has always been that he needs to go 6-2 for me to think he deserves serious consideration for the HC job and I still think that way. But, if he is going to get there he has to get them playing much better than today.

Probably true. I was hoping that we could get a guy like John Harbaugh. A good leader that didn't need to call plays and just manage the game. There are still too many game clock problems and I didn't like the way he went after the Hayball but giving other guys a pass on bad plays. He even said post game that he treats certain players differently, which is a complete backslide on his 1 of 11 preaching. I think we better be looking for better.

I’m not sold on any QB in this draft. We desperately need an impact pass rusher to pair opposite of Granderson.

Or a run stuffing DT to put next to Breese. Really the entire DL needs to be rebuilt outside of Breese and Granderson. And we really need a #1 receiving threat. I could even agree with drafting a LT and moving Fuaga to RT. Any of those picks would be fine by me over the available QBs.

Agreed. Just think the first round is the best chance to land a blue chip level DE, with a little more flexibility to find a capable DT, or at least build a better rotation. We need both, among other positions.

I’m good with a WR or TE in the 1st too…. No more linemen. We need point scorers. And I’m with taking a QB every year with our first pick at this point. I’m not sure Sanders or Ward are that guy either…. I’m at the point where we have to start finding out.

I agree that it's harder to find a DE later than it is to find a DT. In fact, you can probably find a really good NT in the 2nd or 3rd. But if a guy like Mason Graham is there, you have to take him. It's obviously going to depend on where we pick and who is on the board, but I'm not sure there is a DE that will be the right value. But, I sure hope there is. I wanted Verse last year but I couldn't disagree with taking Fuaga where we picked.
