is it worth the money? it looks pretty fun. are you actually playing the music or do you just get points if you hit the pad correctly? say you are supposed to hit the snare and dont hit it, does the snare still sound? also, can you just play solo without any music, just making your own beats? what system is it better for ps3 or 360?

my little brother played it and says it was fun but the drums were hard. I think he's going to get it

If you've played Guitar Hero. It's like that. Not playing the notes the music won't play.

i have it for 360.

its just like guitar hero, but with drums and a mic. you can choose to play lead guitar or bass guitar as well.

whenever you miss a note, it will not play in the song. i dont know about playing your own beats, as i havent tried every mode yet, i just jumped into the world tour with 3 friends. i havent played it for ps3, but i imagine its the same.

Ive never played the guitar hero. I was just wondering. it seems pretty fun. if the music kept playing that would be a dealbreaker though.

I have it for 360. It is definetly worth buying. And yes, you do make your own beat during the freestyle solos, but can only really be heard good on the drums. Also, on the drums, to activate Overdrive (which is Rock Band's version of Star Power) you get a little mini solo and when you finish off with the symbal, Overdrive turns on.

Its alot of fun when you have a couple people playing with you. I never got into GH, but Rock Band is extremely fun.

you'll be hooked if you buy it. I am pretty good on the guitar but having lots of trouble with the drums. I am stuck on medium right now.

You are actually playing the music, particularly on drums. There is a background music track of the original song, but you can change the level of the backgroud music to where its very obvious, if you miss the note, you won't hear it through the speakers.

no, the snare will not make a sound.

i don't believe you can play solo without any music.

I have the 360 version, specifically because i want to download the entire ...And Justice for All and Nevermind albums when they become available on live.

I got rock band and call of duty 4 on xmas day. I played call of duty 4 for about and hour and half, the rest of the day i played rock band.

Yeh, the drums are where the challenge really is. I'm medium as well and it takes me at least 4 tries to get thru a song completely. The drums are a challenge and fun at the same time.

I got it yesterday and played it for about 5 hours straight until 3 in the morning with just the Drums. I have not even tried the guitar and vocals yet. It is totally worth the money.

The only real trouble I'm having with the drums is when set on easy you tend to play what you hear. For example knowing and hearing that there are supposed to be two quick kick drum beats and it is only asking you for one. Other than that, pure awesome.

this game is addictive. my old lady doesnt even like video games and she didnt want turn it off. I got the ps3 version btw.

anyone know how to get more songs on the multiplayer quickplay? they only have like 7 or 8 songs.
