My wife and I are visiting New Orleans for the first time and going to be at the Saints vs Lambs game. Anyone with good tailgate spots prior to and after the game. We're staying at the Omni Royal Crescent Hotel. Also, any good places to go and see while we're there ?

FYI, visiting from southern Cali....

Thanx, Matt

SoCali, This past weekend my wife and I also made our first trip to New Orleans for the Jags game and are also from So Cal. First let me say your going to have a blast, Bourbon St is a must. We stood at the La Quinta on Camp St and Gravier St and if your hotel is in that area your walking distance from Bourbon St and the Dome. We didn't even need to rent a car or take a cab while we were out there, the shuttle from the airport was $13 per person both ways. We also really didn't know where to eat at, but we first went to Bubba Gump shrimp, even though there is one in So Cal it still is some good eats. We also tried this place called Mothers Restaurant/Mothers Next Door on Poydras just south of Magazine St that had some good jambalaya and Po boy's at a decent price. You also got to eat some french doughnuts from Cafe Du Monde on Decatur St just past St. Peters. I'm sure someone who's been there more than once can give you some better spots but thought I'd throw in my 2 cents in. Hope that helps.

We Just Got Back From San Francisco And Had A Blast. The Black And Gold Nation Definitely Was In Full Force. When Yall Come Down, Before The Game, Everybody Hangs Out At A Place Called Allegros. It Is Just Like A Block Party. They Have A Dj, Drinks, And Everybody Is In Black And Gold. It Is An Awesome Time! It Is Located On Loyola Ave Across From Poydras Plaza. It Is Within Walking Distance Of The Dome. Everybody Goes Over There Before The Game And Gets Sauced Up Before The Game. Ask Anybody Around There And They Will Tell You Where It Is. Just Follow The People, You Will Not Be Disappointed. If You Have Any Questions, Call Me-504-220-3901, My Name Is Jimmy.
