Saints Draft Prospects’ Visits and Meetings (15 OL, 10 DB, 10 DL, 8 QB, 7 OLB, 7 RB, 7 WR) [full reported list in OP]

Yep, and don’t forget that Terry Joseph, our new Defensive Passing Game Coordinator, has worked with him as his secondary coach all four years he was at Texas.

FWIW, Underhill said yesterday that if the draft were yesterday, he thinks the Saints would take Will Johnson over Barron, but that could change in the next month.

I find it interesting that Kellen Moore was at the Ohio State Pro Day instead of the Boise State Pro Day.

Was thinking the same but at the end of the day I’d imagine that would be a waste of resources. They already met with Jeanty, know what he can do, and JT can gather whatever new intel that comes up.

Is this the first year we do these dinners? I don’t recall them any other seasons.
Saints hosted dinner with Ohio State LB Steele Chambers last year. I don’t recall any other reported meetings in 2024. It seems like the dinners are being reported more this year.

I remember that name from last year. Went ahead and looked him up. Guy is already out of the league and playing for the Memphis Showboats.

They should take neither at 9 and move back and take Barron if that happens.

I have little to no faith in Will Johnson being a steady NFL starter because of the myriad of issues he has(durability/slow etc)

Barron on the other hand has no such issues.

I don't think it means anything, other than maybe that Moore isn't completely obsessed with taking a Boise State player. It's also probably a reflection of the fact that they are predicting 15 tOSU players getting drafted this year so that is probably the most efficient Pro-Day to go to to look at NFL prospects.

I wonder why tOSU, Boise State, and LSU had their Pro-Days on the same day? Seems like at least LSU and tOSU would have made sure to do them on different days.
