Amid all the trouble going on around the NFL with the Bountygate issue; the New Orleans Saints are right at the center of it. Saints coach Sean Payton and General Manager Mickey Loomis have already apologized for the incident, but an investigation continues. Former Saints are stepping up to say their piece whether they are helping the situation or hindering it, but quarterback Drew Brees sits in the middle of it all.
Fans have been calling Brees "greedy" and "selfish" as contract negotiations with the Saints this past week stalled to the point of the team placing the franchise tag on him. But that whole issue appears to have taken a back seat to the Bountygate scandal, and now Brees is ready to have his say on it.
