Saints fall to 1-11 when facing a team that’s .500 or better under Dennis Allen (1 Viewer)

Goal is to win half of those to be competitive, definitely missing the target.

I wonder if they mean based on season ending record or record when we faced them.

I believe this is based on when we played them, since it’s counting yesterday’s game.

And agreed…to be a “good team,” you basically need to split the games against the other good teams and separate yourself by consistently winning against the bad teams; we’re currently doing neither.

And there is only 1 more team with a winning record left on the schedule.
At this time of course.
Who knows what their records will be later in the season when we have to face our opponents.
But the best guess is that things won't change much later this year. Particularly for the saints. :covri:

It’s insane for a fan base to have to be expected to continue showing up and supporting something that we know will not be successful under this head coach. It’s both of Gayle’s franchises. You got one franchise where the star says the team asked him to take a back seat like he’s a role player and another one that has the QB yelling all game and confused.

What’s his record against teams under .500?

Great! We just may win this woeful Division and then get humiliated in the first round. Then we get a first place schedule and fall to 5-12 next year!

So what this says is that even if we ever eek into the playoffs with DA, given the teams their are usually over .500, the chances of advancing are almost non-existent.
The length of time it would take to overcome these odds means that most of us would no longer be living to see then next SB appearance.

Rip the band aid off. There is no fixing this.

He is what he is. He has to go.

But you have to put a lot of this on Loomis. He is supposed to know better. And yet he was okay with this and even was okay with begging Carmichael to take the OC job he refused.

Loomis is a cap and finance magician. Much more to being a GM and I think over the years he more or less delegated that part to the head coach, which many coaches are just fine with but when you get a head coach that is no good at talent or drafting or basic leadership vibe ,or just not a good head coach period, then the organization is kind of rudderless....
