Never said he was coming back, just pointing out the team was in worse shape. Most of our good young talent is under contract with a salary cap that will be $300M in 2025 and go up about ~$30M year every year until it hits that. There are way more positives with this team than people want to admit to. I get it, you hate SP because left. Cool.

Cap wise it wasn’t even in the same universe with how bad it is now compared to then, but yes we have more talent now.

Agreed. It was a different NFL back then. We pretty much have Brees' first contract sitting on IR the last 2 seasons.

Yes, I would agree there. If there is any truth to DA having his hands in the offense and neutering PC, then I'll give PC the benefit of the doubt. However, like in NE/TB with Brady, I think the offense was Brees even thought CSP created it. Brees ran it perfect and adapted as his body failed him. With no Brees or CSP, it is probably time to move onto a different offense.
