NFL Draft Saints hosting a dinner with several Georgia players tonight, per Underhill

what position would Williams play in a 3-4?
Seems like he’s likely to play the “bust” position.

He’s one prospect that I just want absolutely nothing to do with. Never had more than 5 sacks in a season. Never broke 10 TFL’s. Didn’t even test as well as expected to top it off. Mediocre production, Nothing special athletically, and plays a position out front office continues to whiff on…

so he's Shemar Stewart?

Don't forget his horrific pass rush win rate percentage.

Yep. At pick 9, I would want a mix of both elite measurables and elite production in a pass rusher (or really just about any position). If both boxes aren’t checked, they don’t meet the criteria of a top 10 pick risk worth taking.

They certainly are covering their bases with this and the Texas dinner right?

Mykel Williams shouldn’t even be a first rounder imo. He’s dropping down draft boards like a rock.

He and Shamar Stewart are awful

I’m sorry for sounding so negative but these two guys have done nothing to be worthy of first rounders let alone top 10 picks.

About dang time. Just remember the name Danielle Hunter and what he didn’t do in college and what he is doing in the pros. I want those SEC boys.
Wow. Good call there. I knew Hunter went to LSU, and I remember when he started to break out in the league throwing up double digit sack numbers almost every year. I recall thinking to myself that I didn’t remember him being so good and how he was putting up these types of numbers as a pro but couldn’t as a college player.

Now I am sure he is one of the statistical outliers, but it is ridiculous the difference. He had more sacks in NFL year 1 than all of his college years combined. Having said that, I still wouldn’t feel great about Stewart or Williams at 9. Hunter was a 3rd rounder which is where physical freaks with low production numbers belong, but you did make a good point that there are examples of these types of picks working out.
