The New Orleans Saints, still reeling from their worst performance of the season in a 35-22 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, felt even more pain from that setback on Wednesday.
As they returned to the practice field to begin preparing for Sunday's game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Raymond James Stadium, the Saints (5-2) produced their longest injury list of the season.
A win by the Saints would guarantee them no worse than a share of the NFC South lead at the halfway point of the season if the Atlanta Falcons (5-2) defeat the Detroit Lions as expected.
