The state has license plates for everything else, shouldn't we have one bearing the F-D-L and SAINTS in black/gold like the colleges for our fans.

I have inquired about it to state representatives in the past. I emailed her about it a couple years ago along with links to a couple states who offer the same (Texas was one) and mentioned that the money could go towards the annual inducement paid to the Saints each year. That way only fans that wanted to give money to the Saints would be giving money to the Saints.

The last I heard there was a ban on creating new plates because of the Pro-Life plate. Someone wanted a Pro-Choice plate and the State Rep. behind the Pro-Life plate was blocking it or refused to amend it (I forget). The State Courts put a hold on things until the decision was made. I have forgotten about it since then.

Someone needs to get a NOLA Representative to author a bill...

In MS, I think all you need it 200 people to sign up for a plate and they will make it upon review. They even sell LSU and Bama plates here. It adds $50 to you fee.

I know a lot of people who would want these...heck, they could even charge $100 bucks for one and I am sure people would still buy them. That could put a small little dent in the payment to the Saints by the state.

I'd buy one for a $100 and I'm a broken down college student.

Similar here in Virginia too except the number is 350 but still I was surprised that the number of people needed to commit to them was so low. VA is apparently coo coo for specialty plates (see links below). There are tons of Parrothead (Jimmy Buffett fans) plates up here?! They also have Redskins plates.

Maybe the solution is for all of us to register our autos in Mississippi and along with the cheaper insurance we can afford the FDL plates and season tix. j/k of course but how would the state feel if they lost revenue bc some folks did this very thing due to availablity in our neghboring state?

One of these days i'm gonna get this mounted front & dead center on the lower part of my grille (all-black Jetta) for the whole friggin' world to see!!.. LoL!!

I'm surprised the new LSU plates were approved by the DMV. The screened-back purple stripes in the background make the numbers a difficult read.
