I've started watching almost all of the Hornet's games, yet I have never seen any players from the Saints or even heard of them being there. Maybe I am just out of the loop, but it would be cool to see Brees or Colston there. Maybe the Saints org discourages them from being there for fear that the Hornets success may take away some of the saints business?? that sounds unlikely to me though.

Not to start something but how many Hornets go to a Saints game. You never hear any mention of them there either so whats the big deal.

I understand that several Saints players have Hornets season tickets and vice versa. Showing support for a New Orleans business is a very big deal. Eating at Drago's, attending Hornets games, investing in real estate, etc. It's all a very big deal.

I don't know if you were affected by Katrina or not, but if you were I would guess that you wouldn't have such a poor attitude towards something so positive for the city...

I re-read my post but I still don't know where my "such a poor attitude towards something so positive for the city" is.:dunno:
I had no intention of coming across negatively towards the city of NO, the Saints or the Hornets. And no, I was not directly affected by Katrina.

I guess I was hoping somone would correct me and say, " man Deuce was there the other night", that would have been optimum.

I don't know why I think it would be cool to see a Saints player on the first row at a Hornets game, but it just would be for me. And vice-versa, seeing CP3 at a Saints game would be badass.

Brees was there for the opener. From what I've read on HR.com Deuce and Stinchcomb are big fans too. Lil Wayne was a season ticket holder. We have some celebrities out there every now and then. I've also heard Hollis and Grant have been there, don't know how accurate that is though.

Colston was there earlier in the season, sitting in the same vicinity and I'm somewhat certain the same seats, as Joe Horn's old seats. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Joe still had them, cuz he lives in MS. Brees has been there more than once.

One thing to consider is that Saints players are going to be very limited in there time to go during the football season and as soon s there season is over, most of them don't live year round in N.O. I'd also assume that as soon as the season is done they are taking vacations before mini-camps and "required" team meetings and sessions start, so they won't necessarily be in town.

I wouldn't put much into them being there or not, but I've seen a fair amount of Saints support for the Hornets over the years.

Oh yeah, Deuce has definitely been there many times, and last time we got the nod from him cuz we were screaming Deuce and we sit right over the portal he was walking through to do an interview with Ernie from TNT.

They are often there but dont get on tv. A lot of times they ask to keep a low profile when they go..... Sometimes the players want to be normal people and not be in the spotlight

I wasn't talking to you. Yours was a legitimate question and one that definitely shows positive interest in the city/area.

I've seen Drew Brees, Mickey Loomis, and Mike McKenzie at a Hornets game this year. Mike was sitting courtside next to Chris Paul brother. Chris Paul go to a lot of Saints games.

I don't think whodat07 was saying we dont need to support New Orleans. Its not a players obligation to attend Hornets games. A lot of them might go back home during the offseason and are not here or are on vacations getting some r and r. I have seen Brees and Deuce at games. I too would like to see more players at games because it makes me feel good and it feels like there is camaraderie between my two favorite sports teams. You also have to take into account that some are fans of other teams or may not even like basketball. As the playoff start up I bet you will see quite a bit more Saints players (back in town for camp) and local celebrities, which is great.

Thanks ibelieve that is exactly what I was trying to say. I guess it didnt come out right. If I offended anyone I am sorrry.

Jason David has been there for 15 games. Ironically, all losses.
He sometimes has that affect at Saints games, too.

Rather than making a new thread, the Hornets are KILLING the Jazz right now. Hope I don't jinx it by saying YIPPPPPEEEEE!!!
