How long players are signed, position-by-position.

Note: Some long-term contracts might have voidable options in the final years.

I'm glad we have such long term deals with Brees, Deuce, Reggie, Jamal Brown, and Karney, but I'd like to see longer deals with Colston, Gleason, Devery, Strief, and maybe Ninkovich.

Well the good thing with the rookie contracts is the fact that none of them have a contract that is 4 years or more. i.e. none will be UFA when their deal expires.

Is Will Smith's last year voidable at his option? Anyone else?

Mikeeeeee

We better re-up some of the 2007 players. A lot of those names for end of next year.

I'm actually intrigued with the punter situation... I assume Weatherford is the guy, but Berger is more talented I think...

It's pretty clear that LB and CB need some help and that DT and DE might if we don't re-sign the big fellas...

We need a stud beside Mckenzie. In fact we need a stud to through pressure on McKenzie.

Besides that another S and without even really saying WOW we need to solidify some D line talent. Smith Thomas and Grant we need, the rest are easily upgraded. I mean easily.
We get a better rotation up front and the LBer issue improves 50%. We get better Line rotation and better LBers and watch out.

Loomis' biggest challenge will be creating cap space to re-sign this wonderful rookie class we had this year.....looks like the contracts are up in 2008. That's alot of studs to sign extensions....

We must re-sign Scott Shanle and Jon Stinchcomb. Those two were major reasons for our success this year. I want Grant back too, but Scott and Stinch are must get guys.

Looks like Mickey has a lot of work to do in the linebacking corps...either resigning or getting new dudes.

I like Weatherford... I always think of that play where he got the 4th down on the eagles.

I'd say Grant and Hollis are the most important guys to re-sign. I think even if he's re-signed, they'll look to upgrade over Shanle. I also think Streif showed enough promise to make them at least consider starting him at RT next year, giving us some flexibility there.
