I actually don’t think the money per year is a bad deal. I get the effort comments but he was the most consistent DE at beating their assignment last season. I’m just surprised we are choosing to spend that money on him over the next 3 years.

Some fans are super down on him cause of stats but the guy really forces a lot of things on the field and offenses have to account for him every time he’s on the field in a big way. I’m really excited to see what Bo Davis turns him into. Plus with him and Granderson already on the roster, EDGE is far from a need. Not discounting Payton and Foskey for depth

IF…..we just converted 9mil in dead money into real money and it’s really just 42 mil in new money…..that takes it down to 14mil/year which makes me feel a little better about it.

Can’t argue with the trash comment, and please don’t confuse this for me saying our edges were good, but imo our interior play was waaaaaaay worse.

Fair critique. His effort has been an area of focus since being shipped out of DC. However, what other options were there? Mick's cap has limited to a certain price range. Considering what Miles and Crosby just got, this is not bad.

Wouldve rather had us lock down Adebo, but maybe Young comes up as an rush LB. Maybe the new scheme & coaches unlock all that untapped potential.
