Edit: This deal also means he is auditioning for the long term gig. I believe he wanted closer to 4 years 75 million, but the Saints asked him to take a shorter deal due to his injury, etc. This is a very low-risk contract, with tremendous upside, and leaves the door open to draft a QB anytime between now and 3 years from now. To top it off, if he throws for 4,200yds and 32 TDs this year, we maintain a year of roster control to negotiate an extension. This really is a huge win.
