Saints re-signed LB Mark Simoneau to an undisclosed contract, according to Scout.com's Adam Caplan.

A surprise, with Jonathan Vilma headed to New Orleans. Simoneau fits best as a fourth linebacker, but could've found a better chance to start if he tried.
