We are soul searching for the next leader of our beloved franchise , but I think we are approaching the " doing too much " area.
In no universe should we be seriously considering an offensive coordinator who couldn't simply hand the ball to Saquon Barkley
, and a defensive coordinator who couldn't stop the Titans ( Who will be picking 1st overall ).

You want the truth? Injury derailed the 2024 New Orleans Saints. Yes I know , Dennis Allen bad. But it was truly injury. Our offensive line was the first to go , which led to Carr going
and so on and so forth. We held competitive games with the Rams , Commanders and Bucs ( all playoff teams ) despite fielding a JV roster and a rookie QB.

Klint has proven despite having limited resources he can still put something on the scoreboard. We've seen what he can do when the chess pieces are available.
Hell I was buying tickets to games because after Dallas I was sold on the fact this was a championship year.

Furthermore , This isn't the draft to need a franchise QB so I feel we are better suited to give Spencer another year in this system with actual protection and weapons and see what he does.
I suspect he'd progress. And if he doesn't draft Arch Manning. Simple win win here.

But Klint is not the problem here , and I'd bet money whoever we hire at OC after him , wouldn't be able to do what Klint was able to do with what he had. That and I want to see what this wide zone run game would look like with Aston Jeanty.

Been saying that since day one. He will be a head coach within next 3 years

The fact we let him meet with other teams tells me he’s not going to be in the picture.

You have to let him meet with other teams. If you can’t guarantee him a job here you have to give him the opportunity to find a guaranteed job. That doesn’t mean he wouldn’t have a job here if he were still on the market. But if you hold him here for 2-3 weeks, he misses out on other jobs, and our new coach fires him, people aren’t going to want to come here as assistants.

If they want to interview him for HC and hear his vision, I’m ok with that. But if his vision is more of 2024, then I’ll pass.

Let the new HC make the call. Although doubtful, he wouldn't put faith in such a critical part of the team with someone he does not know.

If I’m Mike McCarthy and I’m hired by the Saints, and I need an OC. I’d certainly look to retain the offense that dismantled the Cowboys and sent them into self-destruct mode. (I do not think our version KK offense would be too foreign to him)

Yeah, agreed. If the HC is McCarthy, he can keep or move on from any coach he wants. There's something to be said about keeping the same system in place an allowing our guys to develop in it. Guys like Penning and Fuaga can build on their 2024 season.

He didn't do anything deserving of him being hypothetically fired but also didn't blow anyone away either.

New HC should decide.

Defensive HC like Glenn, and keep Kubiak.

The system was working great until the injuries piled up.

The problem is that our offense was almost unstoppable with Taysom, but we can’t rely on Taysom for a whole season. Can he replicate that without Taysom?
