Saints sign or resign Josh Leribeus (1 Viewer)

Sneaky good under the radar signing. He was good enough to play on last year's squad. So if he makes the cut, then that's one piece back in place. If he doesn't, then that means somebody beat him out of that job and we've improved.

Good move. I know he's not the biggest/strongest/most powerful guy but he did keep Drew clean when he had to play last year and if I'm not mistaken has experience at left tackle.

Good signing to compete on the interior of the Oline a spot with a huge question mark now that Kelemete has moved on.

Tackle: Rick Leonard, Michael Ola

Guard: Jermon Bushrod, John Fullington, Landon Turner, Andrew Tiller, & Corey Helms

Center: Will Clapp, Cameron Tom, Josh LeRibeus, Jack Allen

We don’t have any depth at tackle, but I believe we see Andrus Peat as our backup tackle. Bushrod played left tackle with us, but that was long ago and he’s 35 now. We went from not having much center depth to having too much. Hopefully a couple of those guys can play at guard. I would like to see Landon Turner make a jump. The kids huge but may not be athletic enough for the NFL. Walterfootball has Andrew Tiller rated higher than Senio Kelemete at free agent guard. I know some don’t put much stock into that site, but I do. He also has Bushrod rated as a 1 star, 35th rated free agent guard. Tiller is 18th with Kelemete 20th and both 1 1/2 stars. Don’t know much about Fullington, Ola, & Helms. If Strief’s word is anything to go by than Cameron Tom should be on the 53 man. If we keep 3 than it would have to be out of Rick Leonard, Jermon Bushrod, Will Clapp, Cameron Tom, & Andrew Tiller. I would guess Leonard, Bushrod, and either Clapp or Tom. But I wouldn’t be shocked if Bushrod didn’t even make it though, so Leonard, Tiller, and either Clapp or Tom(or replace Tiller with Tom). We have some quality guys IMO, just not at tackle. Now we do have some at guard and center, especially the latter.

I like this, he played well for us when he was called upon.

It's funny, I always tell my son not to worry about the OL, we have "RIB-LEE-US" lol i KNOW that isn't his name, but that is what I call him.

He was 1 of our weakest in 2017, but among a pretty strong line. He's 28 so he won't improve much if any, but we could have done a lot worse for depth.

Jack Allen isn't on the team.

There will be quite the OL backup battle in camp. That battle can only make he players better and hopefully will put the right guys waiting behind the starters.

if anything Peat can kick out to tackle and bushrod can play guard

It's a "known quantity" backup guard re-signing. He was a pretty poor stating G for the Redskins 2 years ago and at#71 overall a bust. He was serviceable for us last year. He has experience. I'm not sure how much Bushrod has left in the tank.
