Saints signed RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (3 Viewers)

He was solid his first two seasons in KC but injuries opened the door for Pacheco and they really never looked back.

Even in those two seasons he was struggling. Can't recall how many times I watched him stuffed on 3 and 1, or 3 and goal. Then Pacheco comes along and had no problems, even with the same Oline.

I'm happy with it. I always liked the guy and think he's a really good reliever to give starters a breather. Make no mistake, he's no bell cow and shouldn't ever be carrying the load. His best runs always came as someone giving the bell cow a break with 6-10 touches a game. Last season I remember watching him come in for Pacheco, and he absolutely ran with fire and fury. It was awesome to watch.

I thought he was LSU's version of AK back in 2019. I don't follow the Chiefs much so I didn't know he wasn't working out there.

Shared couple of days ago, he’s going thru PTSD and having a real rough time of it. Hope he gets mentally healthy, whether he plays again or not.

Love the signing if he can get healthy, his YPC is not bad at all and he’s still young.

I was just gonna talk about this. He didn't just go to LSU, he was born and raised on Baton Rouge. He's had some real hard mental health stuff going on and I would think being back home with friends and family would help.

He's very young still, and I hope he can learn to live with the demons that trouble him.

Yeah I saw that and that’s rough for him. I and many other LSU fans have fond memories of him during that championship season.

I hope the change of scenery back home helps him. I don’t think it’s a bad idea to take a gamble with AK hurt. Williams although a good guy isn’t good and Kendre is improving but has well documented issues.

I don’t mind shaking the trees here.

could be a positive signing, might not be. Glad to get him in the building and evaluate him over the final 3 games. I see people speaking about drafting Jeanty and I think it would be a poor use of resources in grand scheme of things.
