Saints interviewed Eagles OC Kellen Moore [ 2nd interview completed on Jan 27 in Philly] (20 Viewers)

25 pick is already determined

26 pick I want 1st overall (Nuss Buss)

If we’re bad enough to get a top pick in 27 also, fine with me, but that 27-28 season we need to be competing for the playoffs. This is also the first season possible we can have the books cleared and really mold the team with Moore’s players.
Arch March maybe?

Some really good nuggets dropped in Nick’s latest article.

Not sure what all I can post about here but one thing he mentioned is that Brady and Moore share the same agent, so maybe it’s possible Brady learned he’a not going to beat out the competition.

I've been saying that Brady did not get a 2nd interview with Chi or Jax. It could very well be that he knew he was not getting the Saints job and pulled out before he could get turned down for a 3rd time. That would not have been a good look for Brady.

People think because we are going to Philly to interview Moore that he's the favorite? I don't, If Moore was the favorite then he would be coming here to tour the facility maybe meet Mrs B. . And they'd make him an offer. While I think we have a good interest in Moore I think MM is still the front runner , maybe not by a lot and that's why he's scheduled last

It’s kind of ironic that Kellen Moore, the guy Mike McCarthy ran out of town after running him over with his proverbial bus, is the guy most likely to replace McCarthy in Dallas. What does that tell you about McCarthy?
What does it tell you that Green Bay greatly improved when he left?

But I digress. I hope we beat the Cowboys in the Kellen Moore race. That would be glorious.

Agreed. I think it's gonna be McCarthy and a lot of his Dallas staff once it finally goes down

They took Gayle's private plane to Philly. Maybe Gayle was on it? If she was, that would indicate very strong interest and a desire to let Moore meet Gayle and show him that Gayle is willing to go all out to hire him.

And given that Moore just coached the NFC Championship Game yesterday and has to do all the stuff necessary to get ready for the Super Bowl and spend a week on the road in New Orleans, they probably had little choice but to go to him.

In addition, the Eagles are using Saints Headquarters as their base of operations next week so he's going to get the entire facility so he doesn't need to fly to New Orleans with all the stuff he has going on this week.

So, he clearly could be the leading candidate. Although Underhill did say that they are interviewing McCarthy at the end of the week. Not sure if that's just backup or not, but it does seem odd that they would wait that long to interview him if he was the favorite.

I highly doubt Mrs B is sitting in on the 1st in person interview with Moore. I think ML and his team is doing their due diligence and interviewing everyone they ask for interviews. I think MM has been the favorite since he walked away from the table in Dallas. In fact it may have been a factor in why he walked away.

IMHO It's MM's job unless someone just wows them, that's why we asked for all the interviews

She sat in on a meeting with Desean Watson and flew to meet him. Maybe she isn't sitting through the entire meeting, but she could have gone to meet him and talk for a bit.

You could be right, but I find it odd that if it was MM's job they wouldn't be waiting until the end of the week to talk to him and they wouldn't have flown to Philly this quickly right after the NFL Championship Game.

If MM was the choice and they were just doing due diligence it seems like they would have already talked to MM or would meet with him before the end of the week.

It's possible that the Saints and MM's team have been talking.

If MM is their first choice, I can see reasons why they schedule him last. If MM isn't their first choice, I can see reasons why they schedule him last. My point, I don't think MM being scheduled last really gives us any insight into what they think of him.
