A friend of mine sent me a picture of me at the Saints/Panthers game in 1995 (they played at Clemson stadium that first season.) Anyway, the biggest thing I remember from that day was that the fans were arrogant, hateful, and not very hospitable. It was irritating because the NFL had gone overboard to ensure that the Panthers and Jaguars were very competitive their first season...and those Panthers fans just assumed it was because they had it all figured out. I believe that both the Jags and Panthers made the championship game their first or second season (as opposed to the Saints being thrown to the wolves.) In the picture I was wearing a Jim Everett jersey...and I was pretty sure he tossed 3-4 INTs that day. It was one of the most miserable 'away' games I have ever experienced. I do remember telling their 'in-your-face' fans to enjoy it because it wouldn't last and to, "give it time." This prompted me to go back and look up the stats from that day and I was correct, Everett did indeed throw 4 picks. But the stat line was pretty staggering. Saints lost badly 20-3. Just goes to show you what happens when you lose the turnover battle...by a large margin:

I was at the 1995 game against the panthers in New Orleans. It was a night game, either SNF or MNF. Great memory with my dad. We still talk saints football every week.

I had to go look up the score. No way would I have thought that was the outcome looking at the box score until, like you said, you look at the turnovers.
Yeah I guess I should've added the score to my original post (just updated it.) 20-3... And yet the Saints had double the total yards... And 8 times the passing yards. Smh.

Oddly no. My two worst fan experiences were San Diego and Tennessee Titans. Carolina was fine for me.
Mine were Carolina and Atlanta after Blank and Vick came to town. Before then I went to Atlanta every year and had a great time with the fans.

Pretty sure the Mods warned Taker597 about digging up old posts and clowning them because your feelings got hurt. You know...there is a reason that you are the most clowned poster in here....

How does an offense run 77 plays and (1) lose the game and (2) score only 3 points? That’s an extremely difficult feat.

I thought i had seen this before. I hate old random post being brought back up. That was a good thread. Amazing how Saints dominated game every way possible but still found a way to lose handily
