As far as being any sort of help to Carr on the sideline Peterman doesn't have to be an active player. If he is on the practice squad, he would be on the sidelines in street clothes to fetch Carr his baseball cap, a towel, Gatorade, or the Microsoft tablet. Anything else would be limited advise from his point of view. Just mho.

I actually never thought about that. I suppose he doesn’t need to be EQB3 just to help Carr review defense etc.

Rattler was the only QB at rookie minicamp. They need another arm for reps.

Mond can also showcase his passing in live camp reps for an opportunity to be re-signed back.

The only way a non-rookie is eligible to participate in rookie mini camp is if he's either a free agent or a player under contract without an accrued season (Faion Hicks, Rezjohn Wright, Jordan Mims, Anfernee Orji, Michael Jacobson, and Mark Evans). This is a creative way to get a guy like Mond who knows the new system a few days with Spencer Rattler.
