Per Howard Balzer of NFLDraftScout.com, the Saints put offensive tackles Nick Becton, Cornelius Lucas, and Menelik Watson through a workout along with offensive guard John Fullington. None of them were immediately signed.

Might be looking to add some help before Sunday.

Leonard wouldn’t have been kept in addition to what they had. The Saints always only carry 8 linemen. Besides the starters we had Bushrod (hurt), Ola (IR) and Clapp. Leonard was given every opportunity to make the team. He wasn’t good enough. But missing on him isn’t why we don’t have depth. It’s strictly due to injury.

We had 1 and several more on the practice squad. One is injured, the other two are playing and we're fresh out of backups.

Agreed, injuries have hit the offensive line hard. And as inconvenient as it can be, it's just the reality of the NFL that there are going to be misses once you get into the 4th round and beyond. Leonard isn't the reason that our line is in this shape, injuries are.
