Not really a bad or unexpected thing when you consider we're on the cusp of hiring a new head man anyway. In a week, we'll start having much more clarity on our own situation.

Interesting that it took a week-plus for them to make these moves. Makes me wonder if we were keeping them at bay until Moore unofficially had their replacements secured.

As expected. I think Janocko is a loss because Rattler was really progressing with him. But they were Kubiak's guys and I understand why they are going to Seattle.

This is the consequence of hiring a Superbowl Head Coach. You lose your good assistants and fall behind in free agency and draft preparation.

With the breaking revival of the PR e-mail issue, maybe they should have “settled” for a Head Coach who wasn’t involved in the Superbowl. At least they wouldn’t lose these two weeks—and maybe they won’t even get their preferred Head Coach, either. No matter where you stand on the e-mail issue, this has the makings of a serious mess.

i think it was them waiting for Seattle. Then once KK got hired, it was just a matter of time. With that said, i wish we had retained them for continuity

I'm perfectly fine with it. A new start is what we need. I'm even skeptical about keeping some of the long time staffers at the bottom because in reality they work for the team and not the coach. We probably had some of the with DA as well. I understand why we would keep them, but if a new coach wants them gone it's understandable.

I don't want any continuity regarding last year or even the last 3-4 years.

Totally true and understandable. I just loved the way Rattler talked about the progress he made with the teaching of Janocko.

This is somewhat a rehash of other comments, but I think all this means is that Moore has his guys lined up and Benton and Janocko were not part of those plans.
