Do you think, deep down, both Drew and Sean Payton are just itching to take back that Super Bowl Title again, and beat the McCarthy/Rogers Packers to their 2nd Super Bowl title, to see who can get it first, to establish a "Dynasty", ala the Patriots, COwboys, and Niners?

I know 2 SB wins is no dynasty, but Payton/Drew have a good 2-3 SB titles in them...as well as the Packers....and I would think, Payton would love to re-establish who the BEST NFC team, Coach/QB tandem, and get their 2nd SB win, before McCarthy and Rogers do...

So, my gut, is these two teams meet in the NFC Champioships...only the Saints have already come from behind, suffered some nicks and brusies, and some losses and know how to fight to win..the Packers keep winning and never havee lost and once they lose their 1st game, it will taste very bad for them....and do they rest their starters once they wrap up the #1 seed, 2-3 weeks before everyone else???

Hmmmmm

hard to deny what's going on in green bay, that's a dynasty in the making. and knowing how competitive payton & brees are... there's not in doubt in my mind it's eating them up inside. seeing the pack win a 2nd title & relegate the saints to "one and done" status would kill those two.

if we can make it to the NFCC game, it could be an epic one. still a lot of business to take care of. sure would help if alex smith started playing more like alex smith so we could grab that 2 seed.

Who is Alex Smith? :idunno:

The Packers are doing what I thought we'd do after our SB win. I just have to hope something happens to slow down the GB train, because right now it looks like its going to run over everyone to a second SB victory. It would be great if we could get another shot at them in the championship game, but we would have to play almost flawlessly on offense (zero turnovers, 40 burger) and better than we have been playing on defense to beat them.

I remember a team that lost it's last 3 before going into the playoffs, and everyone expected them to be rusty.

I remember all the experts hating mcarthy when he was here. It was almost carl smithlike.

I believe Payton believes he is a better coach and they, Saints are just as good if not better, just are not as consistent. So far there seems to ge no pressure on packers like the 07 Patriots....

also, hopefully Packers wrap up the No 1 seed 3 weeks before everyone elsebdoes, then rest their starters, forget the undefeated talk, then get rusty

I know Payton will have something up his sleeve if they meet again.

Green Bay is as good as us, but a lot younger. I think we can win a few Superbowls in the next couple of years, but GB as the better chance of truly establishing a dynasty.

This is why I I believe the following:

the 2000-2008 era was the Patriots/Colts erea Manning/Brady - Dungy/Belicheck

the 2009-2018 era will be the Saints/Packers era.. Brees/Rogers - Payton/McCarthy

No?

Where do the Steelers play into this: 3 Superbowls, 2 Championships since 2005?
