Second Amendment Audit (1 Viewer)

?

I think it's stupid this guy is doing that because it's dangerous. Someone screws up, and people end up getting shot over something entirely preventable. Just go to the police station and offer classes instead of having cops approach you in an unfamiliar setting. I don't get it tbh.

this country is so over the top with their rights. I have the right to do lots of things, that doesn't make all of them smart. I would have enjoyed this more if it were a Darwin award to be honest.

Yeah, it's ok to kill people you don't agree with. Nice.

Just an FYI. There were kids at a baseball tournament playing in the park when this happened.

I think it also illustrates the problem with guns in public. The Second Amendment refers to 'arms' which the Supreme Court has noted meant (at the time of drafting) weapons a man carries to protect himself . . . which is where the personal-use guns (handguns, rifles) versus military-use guns (high-rate of fire, high velocity, heavy damage guns) distinction comes from.

But when you're talking about modern versions of those weapons, and you're talking about people being able to carry them in public - interacting with the public where the public safety comes to play, it triggers a dangerous intersection with the role of law enforcement. And when law enforcement sees what appears (like this weapon) to be something very dangerous, they're going to naturally err on the side of safety. There are definitely grey areas in play here.

There's the legal right, and then there's the right in practice. Trying to force those grey areas in a public setting is just foolish.

Right.. It was noted that kids were playing baseball... In this day and age of 2019, if a call went in that some guy was around a baseball park full of kids playing baseball with an ar15 style of rifle.. If I was a cop I would have went in thinking immediately this guy was there to do a mass shooting... and I would have no problems with the cops taking this guy out without question.

I support the second Amendment... But...

This guy was trying to do a stupid video due to the fact that Oklahoma just passed an constitutional open carry law that you can carry a weapon on you without a license starting Nov 1... He was trying to point out that according to the law he could carry a pistol... and that the AR type of rifle that he carried was actually classified as a pistol dues to it's barrel length and grip/stock... And the PoPo would not be able to tell the difference, and neither could a citizen, and that if he was well within his legal rights to do so.

But I am like - Who freaking cares dude? This guy could have caught a bullet from a cop and I would have been like.. "Well, what did you expect dumbarse?"

I mentioned that Oklahoma passed it Constitutional carry bill... Man, I hate that. And I am one of the few gun owners that do.... I want my license to hold value... I want it to be accepted in other states... and I damned sure don;t want a bunch of (insert word/words here), carrying around weapons just because they can do so legally now...

No .. Show responsibility.. Pay the $200, take the class and get training. Give your Fingerprints to the cops.. Get your picture taken and applied to your license. Prove you have no former violent felonies or domestic charges.. Then you may carry a gun legally.. Until then... It's Bullshirt this law was passed... But even me as a gun owner and gun toten 2nd amendment supporter I am in the minority on this one.

This video was shot in Edmond Oklahoma.

The video does illustrate a loophole. That so called "brace", yeah, it is a brace you can snap on your arm, but no one uses it as one. They use it to shoulder the weapon. Even the idiot 2nd amendment "checker" says he was shouldering it.

File this under "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should". The first time a cop responding to his dumb arse gets into an accident on the way, he needs to be held accountable. That's if he doesn't get shot first by someone else exercising their 2nd Amendment right. He's just not a very bright guy which probably explains why he delivers pizza for a living.

I'm a hunter and I'm for gun rights. What I'm not for are stupid people or stupid people owning guns. While we're at it we should also keep stupid people from driving. There should just be a stupid people island.....and this guy is their mayor. It would need to be a massive island.

I think the guy is a moron. He basically is just wanting to call attention to himself. I carry a gun every where I go, but no one knows it. We have open carry in Wisconsin but with the exception of when I'm hunting my firearm is always concealed.
