Looks like EA is still repackaging the same game. I'm still getting it, but at this point I should have known better than believe the hype. Thought these videos would be helpful, before they get deleted from youtube.

Until a release of Madden comes out that doesn't beat the last year's release numbers, they have absolutely no reason to change it. Why would they change it? They're breaking their own records every year.

What bargain bin do you shop at? Cause I tried getting Madden10 cheap a few months ago and it was still like $40...I think its just now dropped to $30.

Even if they did slip last year (Edit: I checked it out and they did fall down though the bulk of it was in PS2 sales so go figure), I bet it takes more than 1 slow year, during a depression, to force their hand. Know what I mean? They're numbers are still so high that there's no point in paying anyone to completely overhaul the game. Its just common business practice, you don't mess with what works. It takes an innovative and forward thinking company to go "hey, our product is good and all, sales are still really high..but what would happen if we made it better at the risk of messing it up? We risk losing it all..or once again blowing the numbers out of the water." And EA, as we all know, is not innovative in their games.

Do I agree that Madden has become stagnant and is basically the same game with some graphic stadium tweaks and roster updates? Oh heck ya I do. But I also think its going to take a lot more than a really crappy "Backbreaker" game and one "down" year of sales after a steady rise every single year for almost 20 years straight.
