For those that don’t know, this guy seems to like to send messages with his attire. Also it has been said that he has a list of teams he wants to play for or that his dad will allow him to play for.

Could mean nothing obviously, but worth noting.

Reminds me….I remember when Deion Sanders visited the Saints, way back when he was about to become a free agent, and they had a shot of him in Benson’s box in the Superdome and Deion had on a gold jacket, and I was so sure we had a legit shot at signing him…the rest is history. ;)

One of the most heartbreaking moments of my youth, as one of the only Saints fans on the planet with a Falcons poster of Deion on his bedroom wall. I even wore his shoes in my high school games whenever we played on turf and to this day still sport rubber bands on my wrist because Deion did and now it’s to the point where I feel naked without it.

We went all out to sign him, and put a ridiculous (at the time) 4 year $20 million offer on the table for him, and not only did he end up turning it down after the long pursuit, but he instead took our rival 49ers 1 year $1 million offer.

THEN, in his very first game as a 49er days later, which was against us, he ends up getting the game-clinching fourth quarter 50+ yard INT return touchdown to seal a win AND he did the dance.

Talk about TRAUMA! It was as if the universe was playing a practical joke on me. 😂

“Fun” times. I still find it somewhat amazing though that we were even after a play like him.

I feel that pain. Deion was one of the best that I have ever seen play in person….oh well. Benson went after Eric Allen too, so he wasn’t afraid to try every once in a while to grab an elite player.

He played really well in college. I really don't understand the hate he gets. He may not have the biggest arm, but a guy with 70% completion percentage for two years in a row is impressive. Bo Nicks had a high completion % too and many thought he wouldn't be too good. He played really good last year for a rookie.

To me, it's all about where he lands. Hopefully, it's somewhere that he can sit and learn to accept coaching from someone other than his pops. I think he will do fine. He has the pedigree and isn't a kid that receiving a big check will change. I would take him

Not to mention that smirk he gave when asked about the saints. Talk about a reality check. You recall that? He was like, what??? The Saints..,Lololo”.

Many people don't like his dad and make baseless assumptions that he's an RPO quarterback. As you say, it's all about where he lands. If his last name were Manning, there would be no complaints.

I agree with that. Statistically, he did really well and improved every year. He doesn't turn the ball over alot and completes alot of his passes. It tells me that he also makes good decisions and must be pretty good at reading defenses.

As far as his pops is concerned, I never understood the hate he gets either. Attention seeking they say, but this is Primetime! What else do you expect? He talked the talk and he walked it. Multiple super bowl rings, HOF player and many consider him the best to ever play his position.

I still recall Deion's quote about the Saints. "The Saints are in-line .... with prime:"
