Sneaux next week [Historic snowstorm in southeast Louisiana on January 21, 2025] (6 Viewers)

Thats if the flight will even happen. I dont know if MSY has the "de-icing" equipment needed.
I'm bored and you made me research. Miami and Phoenix both have de-icing equipment. None of the sites
I read said it,but I imagine it's an FAA requirement.

PHX i can understand

MIAMI???? i figure if MIA ever has to roll out its de-icing equipment, we've entered the Ice Age. lol

3-5 inches of accumulation predicted for the Northshore. The only thing that worries me about that is the extra weight on trees and powerlines. Apart from that, it sounds like it's going to be lovely.

snow isn't bad. Ice is what's deadly. If anyone tells you they know how to drive on ice they are lying.

Snow at night is not fun though. I've only done it once and it was like driving into a flashing rainbow. Thankfully
I knew the road very well and where the ditches were

Nobody qualifies for homeowners insurance now after this next week!

Funny thing is if you go about 100- 200 miles south of Louisiana in the Gulf the weather nice.
