Finding the original 6 ST movies on Blu-Ray and being in bed sick this whole weekend allowed me the opportunity to watch them in a nyquil hampered marathon for the first time since I was 12 or so.

Obviously, the whole "even vs. odd" rule for the movies is pretty accurate even though I find III pretty solid.

II and VI are my absolute favorite and I can only dream what the franchise could have been if Nicholas Meyer did more than those two (and writing part of IV).

What is everyone's favorite?

I thought Khan putting those worms in peoples ears was pretty cool.

Wrath of Khan. My absolute favorite, though, was First Contact. I know, I know, it's The Next Generation cast, but that was a REALLY good movie.

The first one is my sentimental favorite - partly because it was such a huge deal when they actually made a Star Trek movie, and partly because the first time I went to see it, I was loaded on shrooms. It was an absolutely amazing experience.

Unfortunately, the day was kind of spoiled because after the movie, we accidentally urinated on some poor drunk who was passed out in a parking lot. It wasn't really our fault - he'd covered himself up with some old rags and newspapers behind a dumpster, and we thought it was just a pile of garbage - but still, we felt pretty badly about it. But the movie itself was extraordinary.

There was a lot of homoeroticism in that movie.

Not really. When compared to movies like "A Nightmare on Elm Street 2" and "Fast and the Furious 2" it doesn't even register on the scale of homoerotic sequels.
