I’ve been very disappointed with the saints just like everybody else. I’ve had those moments saying the season is done and we aren’t going anywhere. Then I started looking at other teams and where the NFL is as a whole. Truth is, the Saints are in a group of teams that make up the majority of the NFL. I think 10% of the teams are what I would consider very good, consistent teams, 10% are very bad teams and then 80% of the league is right where the Saints are. An Average, inconsistent team that can beat just about anybody if they play a good game or lose to any team on a week to week basis. The saints are tied for 6th place in NFC and 1.5 from 2nd place. I’ve watched a lot of football these first 8 weeks and it’s just very average football from most teams. I looked at the Lions as maybe a very good team, which in think they can be. Then I looked at their schedule. They have a great win at KC, then their other wins are Falcons, TB, Carolina and GB. Lost to Seattle at home and blown out at Baltimore. I guess I’m saying as hard as it is to watch sometimes, we are not that far off from other teams, as much as it feels like we are. Hopefully this last game gets us playing more consistent, we get in the playoffs and let it play out from there. WHO DAT!!

This is very good for sportsbooks.

But yes. We are average. Great D, bad O. With better O, we could be a team considered "good" then poop the bed like all the good teams are doing against the few bottom feeders.

That's fishy now that I think about it...

I think the world is finally starting to understand the reality that the golden age of QBs was taken for granted, and we are about to be in a drought. Sure, it’s top heavy with some potential all-time greats, but the overall quality is starting to come way down.

That’s exactly what I think it is. I love college football, but the way offenses are run now, I don’t think it prepares QB’s for the next level. Not all of them, but most. A lot of the stuff that works in college, might work for a season or 2 in the NFL, then defenses adjust and it’s done. A very accurate and smart (able to read defenses and react quickly to what they see) QB is hard to find these days

Pro style QBs aren't being developed for the most part. What you're seeing is highly athletic QBs being exploited to get cheap results for subpar coaching. It starts all the way back at JV

Here's my problem with the NFL....upcoming prime time games:
Tenn@steelers
Buf@cinci
Jets@chargers

Car@bears
Jets@vegas
Buf@denver

Cinci@balt
Minn@denver
Philly@KC

3 weeks of prime time games and 1 is a halfway decent game. NFL is full of boring games and is just not entertaining to watch for the most part.
