NFL.COM Senior Writer Steve Wyche has updated his mock post Cutler and suggests there may be more trading to come because of it. He now has the SAINTS taking Tyson Jackson DE -LSU. He has Wells at 29 to the giANTS but says we could take Wells at 14. I like the idea of RB later due to value and situational duty. Must fix that "leaky" defense.
14. Saints Tyson Jackson DE LSU Tyson Jackson
The Saints are concerned that ends Will Smith and Charles Grant could have to serve four-game suspensions from testing positive for a banned diuretic last season, and the team wants to have an insurance player who also might develop into a starter. Jackson is a big anchor end who could be playing in front of a familiar fan base. The Saints want to replace burly RB Deuce McAllister, and Chris "Beanie" Wells could be in play, but a bigger back in the second or middle rounds could be a better value since that would be a situational role.

29. Giants Chris "Beanie" Wells RB Ohio State Chris "Beanie" Wells
The wide receiver help New York needs seems more likely to come via trade (Edwards, Boldin). If it requires this pick, the Giants probably would sacrifice this selection. If not, Wells, at this point, is way too valuable to bypass. The Saints could take him early, but their preference is to solidify the leaky defense that has kept the team out of the playoffs.
