Anyone have any ideas how to make my nose stop bleeding?
It's been bleeding for a while and I don't know how to stop it.

Blow your nose hard then keep head elevated above the heart...

Blowing the nose is supposed to remove potential clots that are keeping blood vessels open.

Other than that, try an ice pack, which will help contract the blood vessles.

And, DONT TAKE ANY ASPIRIN.

Don't Blow Your Nose!!!!!!! If You Dislodge The Clot It Will Bleed More.

you want a clot to form. did you pinch your upper nose for about 10 min? This will form a clot that will stop the bleeding. then, don't blow your nose for about another 12 hours.

Relax and put a very cold wet rag over your nose while pinching the boney part of your nose. Stay standing since it helps lower the pressure on the blood vessels. If it continues, you can go to the doctor and have then coterize it, which is a pain worse than death itself.

What exactly does it mean to coterize it?

I tried blowing my nose, and it made it bleed worse, then I tried what my friend told me to do, which was to fold up a piece of paper and put it in between my top lip and my gums, and use that to put pressure, which made it stop bleeding

They burn it to seal the skin with either a hot piece of metel (old school) or laser (new style) Speaking from personal experience, I would let it bleed for days before I ever thought of doing that again.

Everybody's got different remedies apparently.

I guess I wasn't clear.

Blow the nose once to clear the path, then proceed to other remedies.

You're right, though.

Don't continue to blow the nose repeatedly or you can prevent proper clotting. Just once.

I was told this once and it worked. I guess it's like hiccups: There are 15 different sets of instructions...
