Stupid penalties got Tampa that win.... (2 Viewers)

That should have been a fumble in the 1st half.
The NFL has some ridiculous rules...

Rizzi seems to have trouble with 2nd halves...

Not saying refs threw questionable flags, I am saying undisciplined Saints players kept Buccaneers in the game.

Regardless Falcons are denied the playoffs.

I will take that satisfaction
The lack of discipline from our players has been a thorn in our side all season. So many dumb unnecessary penalties costing us opportunities to either score points or get our defense off the field with big stops only to shoot ourselves in the foot.

With that said, I honestly am not that disappointed by today’s loss. The Falcons missed the playoffs and we now have a chance to move up a couple spots in the draft.

I’m good with the result. I’ll admit I didn’t wake up until midway thru the third quarter, maybe the first half would have ticked me off.

I’ll never know.

That's what this team has done under DA and has continued to do. When we get a head coach who can start cleaning up this goofball team and make them start playing with discipline, then I will be on board. I don't care who the coach is.

Rizzi seems to have trouble with 2nd halves...
The entire team has second half "issues" and we had them from game one.
I could point to an overall lack of quality depth an aging roster or poor coaching. But, at this point it doesn't really matter. It's obvious that there are deep changes needed.

Cam Jordan was recently quoted as saying “Rizzi is def HC material”

What would a 14 year vet know right?
Dude would've said the same thing about DA if asked. Personally Idc what he says. I know what I see. Now if he was some ex hall of fame coach saying that, then yes, I'm on board.

Really? I saw a defense that still does not know how to properly rush the passer, gave up 2nd, 3rd and 4th and longs all second half and a QB that doesn't understand situational football and lacks pocket awareness. Other than that, I guess so....

I know it would have bumped us down a spot in the draft, but I was hoping we'd beat the Bucs and then the Failcons would lose to the Panthers, knocking themselves out of the playoffs (and they lost anyway, hahaha). That would have been pure gold. Doesn't matter, the Bucs will get plastered by Washington. Washington certainly isn't going to win the Super Bowl, but they have a much better roster than Tampa.

We lost that game for three reasons:

#1 - Lack of discipline. Bad penalties, mostly due to bad decisions and/or not paying attention by individual players, which comes from lack of coaching.

#2 - Lack of conditioning. It was obvious the players were running out of gas in the second half, particularly the fourth quarter. We're all aware DA was making warm-ups and other conditioning drills optional, so it's no surprise the players didn't have the stamina necessary to finish games (which we've seen all season).

#3 - Lack of talent. Stemming from so many injuries (see reason #2 and apply that to the entire season), we just didn't have the horses, though the fact we almost won anyway tells me a lot about the state of the Bucs' roster (they aren't very good, either). The guys out there really gave it a go, many of them I'm certain trying to show their best to be invited to rejoin the team next season, but we were operating with very few actual starters by this game.
