This week, the 47th season of Survivor starts, and it looks to be a pretty basic season.
Here is the cast:
The cast seems to be a pretty broad spectrum of people, as their occupations range from construction worker to doctor, with one minor celebrity. Jon Lovett (far left in the back row) was a speechwriter for Obama, and n ow hosts what seems to be a fairly well known podcast called "Lovett or Leave it."
As for the game, it appears as though it will be a fairly standard season of Survivor, as there have been no hints about big twists or new things in the game. Probst did say in an interview, though, that the Sweat vs. Saavy task has been completely redone, and will no longer exist in the formats that we have seen before.
One other thing that he said that I found interesting was that he was talking about showmances, and how having a person you are that close to can be an advantage, but it can also be a threat. But, then he said that being incorrectly seen as being in a showmance can also be a huge threat to your game.
