We have several threads running already which concern tickets, etc. This thread is about the tailgate only.

1. I purchased two parking passes because we need two passes for Saint Mike's Bus. I thought his bus would be the easiest thing to find in the parking lot so coordinating with him is the best idea. The parking passes costs me $141.75. I'd like to get everyone who is going to paypal me the $ for the passes and depending upon how many contribute, we will just divide it equally. The parking passes are in the "Blue" Lot by Reliant Stadium. I have attached a link for the parking lot map. If someone can post the map itself in this thread, that would be good.

2. Since Primadox lives locally in Houston, she has agreed to pick up stuff locally for us such as hot dogs, plates, napkins, buns, hamburgers, beer, etc. We all just need to paypal her money for it.

3. We need an idea of how many people are going to tailgate with us so we can get an idea of how much food, beer, etc. to bring and how much we need to paypal Primadox.

4. If we want crawfish, can we get it locally and can someone bring a burner for it?

I think the North Kirby lot is the red lot; that's what my tag said and where I parked for the Reliant Dog shows, and I used gate 11. I believe gate 9 is the main entrance to the blue lot.

FYI, I don't know how crowded it will be, but for the dog shows on the days I didn't have a lot to haul so I didn't want to pay to park, I parked on the back streets north of the stadium, namely on La Concha. There's also a Holiday in and an Extended Stay Deluxe on La Concha, so it is literally walking distance to the stadium from there. Up farther on Kirby, at and above La Concha, there are strip malls/shopping centers where parking may be available, for those who want to walk to the tailgate area. Not a short walk, but hey, we wanted to march around the stadium anyway, right? As we get closer I'll check out some more specifics on parking outside of the stadium for those who want to walk to the bus.

jay, are you gonna find out how many is going first, then divide it up...are ya'll gonna have kegs like the philly game? i'm asking cause my group is at least 15. the philly tailgate was awesome. pm me some info if you want, if u need anything for the tailgate, let me know

How good are crawfish in November?

My answer will be one of the yes answers.

In order to get my Texans game tickets, I had to sign up for a package that included a pregame pep rally(for the Texans!). My buddies and I are going, Saints gear and all. Food and drinks are part of the deal. Anyone else planning on attending that?

Yes, that is what I was thinking. Primadox said she would coordinate picking up some local stuff for us and she was okay with us paypaling her the money. I'd be willing to bet that it will work out to about $20 a piece for all the beer you want, food, etc. which is not a bad deal.

And Brandon, I forgot about crawfish not being in season. Might have to go with shrimp or something.

By the way, the "blue" parking lot is first come, first serve so whoever goes with SaintMike has to make sure he is sober so he can get up early Sunday.

Jay, I have ten people going with me. I'll be glad to chip in for the tailgating. Once we know how many people, then figure out how much for each person and post it on here and I'll paypal you the money.

What time do the parking lots open? I want to be one of the first ones there. We can all meet at a spot and then get in a caravan to enter the lots together and be able to all park.

earlier the better for me. I definitely want a spot this time. Dallas parking lot sucked. let's set it up like dallas , this time, we'll be there.

I have a platinum parking pass. It is the closest parking to the stadium and if you bring the bus I will mail you the parking pass. I was going to sell it on ebay because they are going for about $100 but would rather be sure that we have a good spot.

I am still trying to get tickets for the game.... if I get my hands on some, then I will definitely want too hook up..... especially since I missed yall at the Cowboys game last year......

Last year at the Cowboy game they said like 4 hours before kickoff, but they opened well before that time..... I would think the same is possible at reliant stadium, I think the line too get in was causing a traffic jam in Dallas, so they must have let people in early.....

here are the guidelines for the Reliant Stadium Tailgating.... http://www.houstontexans.com/gameday/tailgating-rules.asp

Reliant requires 2 parking passes for buses so we would have to get another platinum one right by yours or use the ones I bought. I bought two passes in the "blue" lot. It is first come, first serve so we have to get their early with the bus so it won't be a problem with parking.

Hey everyone,

If you are going, we would like to do a tailgate similar to the one we did before the NFC Championship. Primadox (she lives in Houston) has agreed that we can paypal her the $ so she can get the stuff we need such as hot dogs, paper plates, hamburgers, ribs?, etc.

We need:

1. A grill
2. How many of you are going?
3. What else do we need?

I've got two parking passes for Mike's bus in the "Blue" Parking area (a bus requires two passes) so we can use his bus as our tailgate location.
