Losing his inside/outside ability hurts. Very unfortunate, on the flips side I was curious how the position would shake out considering someone like Tanoh could become a cap casualty or even a trade candidate if the other guys pan out due to his age and cap#. So, for that reason we lose depth but we potentially would have lost him or someone else at cut down.

He was apart of the defensive line rotation but with Foskey and Turner and now Young we have the guys to rotate with Granderson and Jordan.

As Saints fans, we should expect our luck to basically be this season will be 2008. #1 scoring offense, #1 total offense, defense finishes dead last for an 8 or 9 win season.

Well what's interesting is, this is news to us right now but based on DA's presser, he tore this potentially weeks ago. This isn't something that happened during the OTA's, potentially while practicing on his own.

The new league rules allow for a player to be placed on injured reserve prior to the final cutdown and that player is eligible to return during the season and/or the playoffs as one of eight players who may return from IR. So, if the Saints choose not to reach an injury settlement with Tanoh they have that option. With that said, we are at the end of May. Depending on the severity of the injury his recovery may still allow him to return to the team at some point this season.
