WOW!

6-3 235 pounds and he's running like this?

I don't think you can doubt the 4.25 40 time he ran last year after seeing him run in the open field.

as an SC fan i love taylor mays and his athleticism but i wish he'd start playing instinctively instead of trying to land the big hit every single time. he should learn from polamalu, always in the right place to make a play whether it's just a simple batting away the pass or wrapping up for a sure tackle.

From the SC games I watch, he's not put in a position to make plays since teams rarely go deep on them.

did you see the notre dame game where clausen went deep to golden tate? tmays tried to land "the big hit" but missed and tate caught the ball. he could have batted it away from tate's hands but tried to land a highlight big hit and tate held on.

I did see that. He clearly didn't have a play on the ball.

By the time he got there, the ball was already floating into Tate's hands and his best option was to try to dislodge it. He did the right thing.

When has Polamalu EVER wrapped up for a tackle?! All he does is hit.

I'll take Berry over Mays any day. While Mays is a gifted athlete, he still hasn't got the instincts yet. I was hoping he came back for another year to work on his ball skills, but I still haven't seen them.

I agree, Eric Berry is a better football player.

^ times 3. Eric Berry is athletic, gifted, versatile, along with having a very high football IQ. Tennessee lines him up all over the field. He is NFL ready right now.

Yea, UT does not deserve Eric Berry. Can we put him on a team that actually matters? I absolutely hate Alabama, but would love to see what Nick Saban could do with the guy.

Dude, seriously? That's a pretty dumb thing to say.
