Can't read it due to the paywall, but Ray Woolridge was not going to let George Shinn move the team anywhere but to New Orleans. He needed a party town. That's was a really odd ownership duo... Shinn a devout born again Christian (there were those affairs though) and Woolridge, who was a known partier.
