Supposedly since Drew Brees retired, he has been a special guest at 6 Saints home games and 2 Pelicans home games.

In those games the Saints are 0-6 and the Pels are 0-2.

Love me some Drew Brees but if this is true maybe it's better, he watches the games from somewhere else.

I said the exact same thing!! Every time Drew shows up, the Saints lose. I don't know if it's an unconscious thing with the players, they lose focus or it's just that: a curse.

Either way, no more Drew appearances, no more Fox feel good stories, no more hype for the Saints. Just play.

To your point, neither does the number of visiting fans in the stands some here are crying over STH selling tickets have on the outcome of the games.

I was at the game yesterday. Sure, there was a lot of green in the stands. At times they were loud when we were on offense. However, Saints fans were blowing the roof off the Dome throughout the game, up until after the 3rd and 16 fiasco. Just prior to that play those visiting fans were in disbelief, until they weren't.

The games are won and lost between the white lines and between the ears of those down on the field.

Fans want to believe they have a bigger impact on the outcome than what they really do. Sure, at times it can be hard for a visiting team's offense to hear and lead to false starts, ect., but it can also have an effect on the home teams defense making calls before the snap of the ball. Most of the players have heard it all before. The Dome holds about 70,000. Some of these players have routinely played before hostile crowds of over 100,000.

For the record I don't believe in any of the curses, jinxes, or histories of the past. They are what they are, interesting facts and fictions to talk about.

Each game, in my opinion, begins and ends with its own time stamp.

I do believe in curses and jinxes. I also think the ghost of Drew will forever haunt us, but mainly bc we will most likely never have a QB of his caliber ever again, but not to the point to where we lose a game bc he’s in attendance. It is weird that we always lose when he’s there tho.
