Obviously it was preseason from an Eagles’ writer that seems excited about the hire. But I like a lot of what’s there. Especially about motion, disguising and especially adaptability to players’ skill sets. I feel like that’s a universally good trait, whether it’s offense, defense or STs.

That website is great, it had good write ups on Fangio’s defense as well. I don’t know of a Saints equivalent.

I started gathering some data on Moore when it seemed he became the choice, and at the very least he has adjusted his run scheme over the years. He isn’t a wide zone guy or a power gap guy, he seems to adapt the scheme for each roster.

Rattler has the athleticism to be effective in a Moore designed offense, that and his scrambling ability.

I’m listening to Cossel describe Fangio’s defense as a bend don’t break style of D and that worries me.

That’s fine when you have a young defense that can play a ton of snaps, not good when your defense is aged cheese and wine.

Enjoyed it thoroughly. When I think of Fangios scheme I think of Carlos Rodgers, Terrel Brown, Pat Willis, Navarro Bowman, Donte Whitner, and Dashon Goodson.

Justin Smith, Aldon Smith, and Ahmad Brooks provided the rush but it was the back 6-7 in coverage that made everything function.

That Zone match can be confusing and that extra second leads to sacks.

Ironically I don’t feel good about our length for two gapping as it stands and our S situation leave a good deal to be desired.

If Staley is the guy one reason his defense failed w/ the Chargers was because he didn’t have the right secondary.

They’ll were great at getting teams to 3rd and long, but could t get off the field consistently. Holes in coverage got exploited a lot.

I’m all for match zone and Fire Zone, but if it’s not coached up properly it can result in failure.

Moore hitting on his defensive staff will be important.

The Eagles were way more of a power gap run team before Moore got there, Did you notice them running more wide zone this yr? I think the OL we have now is more suited to a wide zone scheme. It may also be why Benton and Dennison have not interviewed elsewhere. Moore may want to keep one or the other

Great find, I like the fact that in Dallas Moore ran a good bit of wide zone run schemes, I think our OL is built more for that. And it would be great if he wanted to keep Benton to work with them more

I think this draft has quite a few long DBs. If there was a deliberate effort to add length, it can be done.

I said it somewhat jokingly about it before, but honestly have had similar thoughts.

I know all of Taysom's limitations, and he can't make all of the throws consistently enough to be a full-time starting QB, but I do agree that for what Moore likes to do, he probably fits the best, even over Spencer.

If he returns and is healthy, I do think we'll see a lot more Taysom at QB sprinkled into whatever it is we end up doing at the position, and he may especially be useful on whatever we end up calling our version of the Brotherly Shove, a.k.a. Tush Push.
