In 2006 the Ravens really took it to the Saints. I watched a little of that game earlier today. The Ravens D was still dominant. Turnovers definitely told the story. Brees had 2 pick 6's. Obviously both teams are different now. This game Sunday will come down to whether the offensive line can protect Brees. If they can he can pick the Ravens apart because their cornerbacks aren't that good. Limiting turnovers will also be critical because this game will be close if both teams bring their A game so Garrett Hartley be prepared.

The Ravens were coming off a bye, were motivated to take us down a notch and the Saints were a young team. All of that has changed and I think the way Monday night unfolded the Saints are the more rested and hungry team.

Think about this, the only defensive starters that played in the Ravens game in '06 that start now is Shanle and W. Smith. I think it's safe to say the Ravens will be facing a completely different defense/Saints team.

I remember that game well. That was the first time I saw the "psycho" defense that other teams finally started using on us recently (see Cleveland)

This time, I'm not worried about our defense at all. But I am worried about inopportune picks from Drew

i think this was one of the first times Payton out cuted him self. the half back pass with reggie at the goal line turned the game for the worst.

I'm not too worried about the Ravens defense. In fact, they should be more worried about ours. Their offensive line is suspect and I dont think they are ready for the pressure packages they will see.
