So the offensive recipe for success during injuries has actually been shown now for a few years. It was mentioned tonight but it was something we shouldn’t pass over.

It was said by Payton when addressing Seimien going into the second half, that our guys are coached to react to what we see instead of set plays.

This could have been a casual comment, however, it actually validated something we have see for a good while now!

This is something we clearly have been preparing for and executing at for far longer than we realize. Is Payton guilty of being extremely too cute in critical situations? Hell yes! But this actually gives some insight.

Clearly we have gone about preparing our QBs to critically think during games as opposed to set plays that we hope they can run.

There is something here. It happened with Teddy, it happened with Hill, it happened with Winston and tonight it happened with Seimien. He was very calm and poised for a player in his position.

I am in no way making excuses for Playcalls and some overzealous coaching, however, it seems that our preparation from QB room abs situationally has proven to be a huge recipe for success!

Going forward I think Seimien can get the job done. We have played a shorter ball control offence to success the past few years, if we come out with him making smart decisions, I’m not so sure we don’t miss a step.

Colour me optimistic going forward!

I thought you were going to talk about the moonshine from the Baldwin sisters on the Waltons ☺
